Mr. Hilali Noordeen
Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon
Mr Hilali Noordeen completed his medical qualification at the University of Oxford in 1985. After qualifying, he went onto received his Orthopaedic training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hopspital and the Middlesex Hospital, London.
Mr Noordeen is the author of several articles in peer reviewed journals and chapters in books, and is the editor of the Interactive Spine CD. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Orthopaedics and the Institute of Child Health, University College London, and has been awarded a number of prizes and awards for his clinical and research achievements including the ISOLA Prize awarded by the British Scoliosis Society (BSS) for the Best Scientific Paper .
Mr Noordeen has been a Consultant in Spinal Surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, and at the Children’s Hospital at Great Ormond Street, together with the Princess Grace Hospital and the Portland Hospital, since 1995. His specialist interests include spinal deformity, which encompasses a large practice including children’s deformity, degenerative adult deformity, and deformity secondary to spinal injury and fractures. He started work on osteoporotic fractures in the spine in 2001 with a technique called vertebroplasty, moving on to kyphoplasty in 2005.
