Physiotherapy
The physiotherapy department at the Princess Grace Hospital provides expert care for both in and outpatients.
The outpatient team is based at 30 Devonshire Street and all staff are specialists in the management of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8am until 6pm and new appointments can usually be made within 24 hours of referral.
Our staff can assist in the treatment and management of postoperative rehabilitation, post fracture mobilisation, back and neck pain, headaches, work related injuries, sports injuries and any other general joint and soft tissue dysfunction. Following a thorough and detailed assessment a personalised treatment plan is developed and agreed with each patient.
A comprehensive range of treatments is available, including individualised exercise programmes and gym programmes implemented in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. Manual therapy techniques, joint and soft tissue mobilisation and manipulation, movement analysis and retraining, core stability work, electrotherapy and acupuncture are all available.
We run hydrotherapy sessions each week, utilising a local pool and offer remedial massage appointments 2 afternoons a week. We also offer a specialised spinal education service. This is a one off education session designed to assist patients in their self management of back pain and associated ergonomic issues.
